To help promote park safety, Burton and the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) created a program called Smart Style. Smart Style is a cooperative effort to keep terrain parks alive for everyone who chooses to use them with a unified message that is clear, concise, and effective. There are three main messages that are associated with Smart Style: 1) Look before you leap- Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know your landings are clear and clear yourself out of the landing area. 2) Easy style it- Start small and work your way up. (Inverted aerials not recommended). 3) Respect gets respect- From the lift line through the park  We are also actively promoting a new symbol. Just like a green circle means beginner terrain and a black diamond signifies advanced, this orange symbol means freestyle terrain. When you see it, look out for halfpipes, terrain parks and terrain features. |
