13 Week Program Summary
This program is designed to bring your freestyle skiing and riding to the next level. The coaching staff has been trained by 3 time USASA National Champion Patrick Wren, to push riders to get better while keeping them safe learning tricks that are within their skill level. All Skiers and snowboarders will have their progress tracked with a Freestyle Trick Board that allows them to see their progress and to see what they have to learn to reach their goals this season. The Trick Board also helps coaches’ spot holes in riders abilities so that they can teach them to be well rounded riders. Everyone who joins the 13 week program will be invited to compete in all 3 of the Sunday in the Park events as well as the Sunny Slopestyle, at the end of the program, free of charge. Join us here at Crotched Mountain; we go higher, faster, and safer!
** Helmets are required for all freestyle programs |

Patrick Wren - Freestyle Director Pat Wren redesigned the freestyle program last year at Crotched Mountain and we are extremely pleased he is returning as Head Coach of the program this season. Wren finished his eigth-season as a freestyle snowboarding coach. He has helped to coach 11 different snowboarders to qualify for the US Amateur Snowboard Association National Championships as well as two national champions. He is a three-time National champion with USASA and has also competed with recognition in the US Open, Revolution Tour, and the Grand Prix. In his junior and senior years at Penn State he was the president and caption of the snowboard club also winning the ACT Collegiate Championship in 2009. He started his coaching career in 2003 at Jack Frost/Big Boulder mountains. As assistant coach there he taught and competed with a team of 15 athletes ranging from 7 to 16 years old. In his six-years with the Jack Frost/Big Boulder Snowboard Team the program consistently sent over 10 of their competitors to Nationals. In addition, Pat worked at the Mount Hood Summer Ski Camp in Oregon and Woodward Summer Training Camp in Pennsylvania. Wren has been snowboarding since he was nine and began competing with USASA at age 11 finishing with three championships, and two third place finishes.
